Dan's popularity among anime fans follows his voice and motion capture role as Vergil in the best-selling video game Devil May Cry 3. Devil May Cry 5, which chronicles more of Vergil’s story, won best action video game at the 2019 Video Game Awards.

He also took part in James Cameron's early visualizations of Avatar and developed action for Neill Blomkamp's Halo 3 Full Combat sequences. Dan helped create, film, and perform stylistic and innovative action design for the Netflix films Battle Drone and Blade of the 47 Ronin.
